okay so i just finished the first thrawn book right? and like all of it is making me feel insane and i am sure someone has pointed this out already but do you wanna know what makes me feel extra insane?

thrawn send eli away to protect him

like sure he also sends him away to help the chiss and so he could reach his full potential and bla bla but look - thrawn realizes very early that eli is a target as long as he's with him

and then that is proven over and over again throughout the book until it finally accumulates in this - pryce outright threatening thrawn right after she showed how incredibly ruthless she is

and then the very next scene is thrawn and eli talking about that very conversation, it's eli first acknowledging how dangerous pryce and the high command are and then confirming - even if he might not be fully aware himself - that he is loyal to thrawn not to the empire

which, let me remind you, comes after yularen just pointed a blaster at thrawn and accused him of treason

and i think that moment of eli pledging his allegiance to thrawn is the first time thrawn realizes both the depth of which he cares for eli and that he will be eli's downfall if he keeps him around

which then leads to him sending eli away to the chiss and this fucking devastating journal entry:

like for a moment i was confused bc it happend so fast without a goodbye, plus he offered it to nightswan first and it kinda felt like eli was just an afterthought but no oh fuck no

like nightswan thrawn would have send to help keep the chiss safe, to utilize his abilities to help them fight whatever enemies are lurking in the dark, but eli, oh no, thrawn never planned on sending eli away in the first place, not until he realized it was the only way he could keep him safe

and yeah eli will obv also be beneficial to the chiss, like ofc he will, he's smart as heck, but below all that is the simple fact that thrawn is doing all this empire shit to keep his people safe so even if the empire falls that is still the safest place for eli to be

and I'm just feeling very emo about that

Everyone on the Springhawk (and the rest of the ascendancy tbh) found Thrawn to be an anomaly. Because while he was extremely annoying, he was also very hot. But anytime someone asked Thrawn out (or propositioned ;) him), he always turned them down, sometimes politely sometimes not. Everyone eventually just came to the conclusion that Thrawn doesn't do romance.

Cut to twenty years later, a human shows up in the Ascendancy and introduces himself as Thrawn's husband and everyone loses their damn minds.

Because somehow Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo fucked off to the Empire, found some ridiculously attractive twink twenty years younger than him, married him and then sent him off to the Ascendancy for safe keeping.

Do you think Eli and Thrawn ever explored each others bodies

Guys, I just finished tales of the empire and I have words

(Warning spoilers)

1. WE GOT PELLAEON, THAT SLIMY OLD MAN, INSTEAD OF ELI VANTO!!! YOU’RE SHITTING ME!!!!

Ok seriously guys like no offense to Pellaeon fans but like come on I wanted Eli. Where is space cowboy? Where is my beloved aid?

2. Adding on that, Thrawn in clone wars animation was amazing and very fun (they did add in those little things above his eyes after all) I was very happy to see my silly little blue man.

3. Barriss is now my queen?

I guess I’m now devoting my life and soul her. Like they did not have to go that hard with the animation but they did and I’m so glad (she’s so pretty!)

4. Barriss got back in contact with Ahsoka!!!!!!!!!! I’m so happy about it!!! She met her old friend again and maybe they did little Jedi things or missions together, also I really want to know how their reunion went (also I kinda ship barrissoka so I’m living life right now)

That concludes my initial thoughts on the matter, though there will probably be more later, enjoy ;)

They both worked until well after midnight and fell asleep on top of each other. ｡･:*˚:✧｡

Eli sleeps on Thrawn after an exhausting week, while Thrawn defends his statement that Chiss don’t need as much sleep.

The problem with Thrawn as a villain in the Ahsoka show is that I ask myself WHERE IS ELI, ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT ELI RIGHT NOW, THRAWN? I'M THINKING ABOUT ELI RIGHT NOW.

And also how are his people? Is Ar’alani safe? Where’s Wutroow? Is Che’ri safe? Are Thalias and Samakro together?

And on top of that why had Thrawn to be evil? Surely because Eli isn’t at his side.

I have no idea why I found this so hilarious 😂😂😂

Eli, my dearest friend,

It has been decades since our first meeting, and I feel I must thank you for the years that you have, for lack of better words, put up with my "krayt spit". I do not know if it was fate or merely luck that you were aboard that vessel that found me, though I have never believed in fate and one must not rely on luck, some star shined in my favor that day that it was you, Eli Vanto.

Through the years, you have never wavered. You have remained my closest confidant, and on occasion my savior. Though I am aware that you were bitter about the divert in your life track, your skills would have been throughly wasted as a supply officer. And I am pleased that you came to recognize that as well, in time. I would not have made it this far, neither in the Empire nor even back home to the Ascendancy without your help and guidance. I am a better man for your influence.

You have come far, my friend, look at yourself, a commodore in the Chiss Expansionary Defence Fleet. With many more promotions and honors to come, I have no doubts in you. You have learned much, and have become one of the greatest warriors I know. You are aware of what others are not, and have developed a skill for improvisation. A necessary tool for any commander.

Look after those who remain, instruct them in the ways of a warrior. Continue the work that we started and pass it on when you meet your own demise. Continue to live.

I leave you all that I have, my knowledge. I have added to the journal, utilize it. Do not mourn me, Eli Vanto, I am now with my brother.

Thrawn would kiss Eli Vanto's hand.

When inviting him to dance, Thrawn would bow down deep and brush his lips against the back of Eli's hand, light and enticing, before pulling him into his arms.

While meeting as civilians, Thrawn would greet him in the way that gentlemen greet their ladies in some reaches of the galaxy, with a kiss to his hand and a utter of his given name.

While gazing out of the viewport on their warship, he would grasp his hand and raise it to his lips, while they stood side by side in silence.

Before a mission, while outfitted in black armor, a helmet underneath his arm, he would pull the human to where no prying eyes could see, and lift his gloved hand to his waiting lips as they stared into one another's eyes and whispered their promises.

In the heat of passion, Eli's hand coming to rest against his cheek, he would turn into it and press a kiss to his palm.

While they readied to leave the Admiral's cabin, he would press their bodies together cupping his face and connect their lips, hot and heavy distracting the man in front of him. Pressing him up against the wall, and biting down on his neck, listening to the strangled gasps that escaped him. He would pull away and lift his hand for a chaste kiss, a tease, before leaving the cabin and him a disgruntled mess.

Long after Eli Vanto has become Mitth'eli'vanto, he would raise his left hand to his lips and kiss the ring there on his fourth finger, a symbol not only of Eli's human culture but of Thrawn's love.

Thrawn would kiss Eli, his, hand.
