To be absolutely honest this was the idea for the last one, I just like how it turned out featuring all the slugcats and yes.Yes I did add Artificer's pups, I wanted to make a nod to Saint of couse so his signature eyes are kinda there!

And there we go! Something simpler because I did have a bit of an art block and my hands are already shaking from how cold it is in here. Since this Karma symbol represents Gluttony and my recent playtrough of Gourmand's food quest I decided to make it inspired by that! Two more to go and you may already see the pattern!

The colors are so bright and light is so warm - it's making your art so cosy and sweet))))

And I love how you draw these dynamic poses for slugpups!

Maybe Gourmand limbs should be a bit thicker (because he is a really chubby boy), but overall it's comes out just great!

Little guys! I enjoyed this one, even though I was stumped at first.

Au notes:

They met in the colony when gourmand returned. Nightcat is a nocturnal slugcat that can be chaotic but often sleepy. Gourmand is helpful and understanding, and is always a shoulder to lean on (and fall asleep on). Nightcat will fall asleep on gorm's shoulder, and gourmand will stay still and let him sleep.

Gourmand - Any pronouns, nonbinary, bi, asexual

Nightcat - he/she/it, nonbinary, aro ace spec bi

Gourmand shows his love by carrying Nightcat home when it fell asleep, giving it gifts or cooking for it.

Nightcat shows her love for gourmand by choosing to spend her time with them, and giving them compliments.

They snuggle constantly.

Also I wanted to start giving them ancient-adjacent names for fun and have "Two Pearls, Endless Ringing" for Artificer and "Share of Warmth, Hands United" for Gourmand!!! Ik that the canon naming system is focused more on objects than sounds and feelings, but I don't want to limit myself and give them something that actually fits their vibe. I have all of the scugs named and will probably include those with the refs soon to come, Hunter and Riv will have to wait until I make a final lineup... Or draw something separate with them

RAIN WORLD THE WATCHER OPENING CUTSCENE SPOILERS (?)

Some people noticed that the other slugpup from the opening is a really similar color to Gourmand and as much as we know that's not him, I still like that headcanon

Imagine your sister gets lost between dimensions damn

If any of you took a good look at my slugcat designs you can notice that all of the outer expanse fellas (Gourm, Surv and Monk) are way more slug than cat - having the funky frills, longer "whiskers" (except surv whatev). I actually designed Watcher a day before the DLC came out because I couldn't wait, so it was super fun to see the opening cutscene be in what seemed like that region - would fit the look I have for her and she shares the same cape design element as Monk!

Would also fit this silly vision I had here if they were all somehow related lmao, then Watcher would be the honorary member of the "dot on the left cheek" outer expanse gang
