Rise And Shine With Witchcraft

image

Good morning you beautiful witch! Witchcraft and spells don’t have to be exclusive to night time, you can do it when you wake up too! There’s a few different ways to incorporate witchcraft into your morning routine from your morning shower to your first cup of coffee, or tea. Some of these are quick and easy, so you still have time to beat morning traffic, while some need a little bit more time.

Meditate While Showering

If you’re anything like me, you don’t always want to wake up even earlier to meditate. Doesn’t make you a bad witch at all, but there is a way to incorporate into your daily shower time. Unless of course you missed your alarm and are opting for the dry shampoo (we’ve all been there it’s okay).

Time: However long it normally takes you to shower.

What To Do: As you’re going about your normal shower routine, take time to meditate your negative energy going away. As you wash your hair imagine all your negative thoughts washing away as well. When washing your body imagine all the negative energy washing away as well. Relax each body part as you scrub over them. As the water rinses you off, along with all the soap, imagine all that negative going down the drain as well. Imagine the water is positive energy flowing into you. As you exit the shower and dry off, imagine the towel locking in all that positive. Just like that, you’re meditation for the day is done, you may notice you’ll feel a bit more relaxed, clean and awake!

Stir Your Intentions into Your Coffee/Tea

That cup of joe can be crucial in the morning, but you can also add some magical qualities to your coffee, or tea. Also, may help improve that boring old coffee you’ve been drinking (no offense).

Time: 2-3 minutes + however long it takes to brew your coffee/tea

What To Do: For coffee, you can brew your coffee as normal or if you’d like you can add a few spices to your grounds, depending on your intention for the day. For me, I tend to add a few pinches of cinnamon to my grounds for abundance (and maybe because it reminds me of fall). You can add what you want for the day or whatever you think tastes good. For tea, choose a tea that represents your intentions for the day. For example, if I woke up not really feeling myself, I may opt for a hibiscus brew to bring in a little love to my day. Once you’ve settled on flavor and have brewed up a cup, add in what you normally would. Be it, milk and sugar, or maybe honey, whatever you like. As you stir it in, depending on what you want, pick a direction. Focus deeply on your intentions, stir clockwise to bring something in, counter clockwise to keep something away. After your done, take a sip to lock in your intentions. Then enjoy!

Say Thank You to the Sun

Taking some time to go outside in the morning not only helps you feel more awake, but it also allows you to connect with nature and the elements. In Witchcraft, we tend to work a lot with the moon and can forget how much the sun does for us too. Make sure to thank the Sun!

Time: 10-15 minutes, or however long you need

What To Do: This can either be done at sunrise, or early morning. Go outside, you may choose to bring you tea/coffee with you. Find a spot you can sit for awhile, preferably facing the sun (please do not look at the sun). Take a few moments to let the sun touch your skin, allowing yourself to be consumed in it’s warmth. If you are sensitive to the sun I highly recommend sunscreen. Take a few moments to think about all the things the sun brings to the earth and to you. When you’re ready, in you’re own words, thank the sun for giving life, light and warmth. You can speak these words aloud or think them. Unsure what to say? Say this: “Thank you Sun for the light, life and warmth you bring to this Earth. Thank you for greeting me each morning, and for giving me the power I need to take on the day.” When you’re finished you may head back inside.

Eat Breakfast

Okay, I get what you’re thinking, but yes, even eating breakfast can be magical. If you’re a kitchen witch, you probably already knew this but, it’s all about the ingredients you use. Adding certain ingredients to match your intentions for the day can be a really easy way to add witchcraft to your morning. Get familiar with what ingredients have magical properties and incorporate those to your morning meal. Oatmeal is a really easy way to do this, you can add cinnamon or fruits that represent your intentions.

Morning Tarot Card Reading

This one is also a super easy way to incorporate magic into your day. I like to do a one card pull to see what the day has planned for me.

Time: 5-10 minutes

What To Do: Grab your tarot deck, find a quiet place and focus on your cards. Pull just one card while thinking about the day ahead of you. As you read and interpret the card you pulled, make a note of it. Later in the day, look back on this interpretation and compare to see how accurate you were. This is also good general practice if you are new to tarot!

Morning Walk

Morning walks, especially in nature, give you a chance to connect with Mother Nature. As a witch, we work with nature quite a bit. It’s good to spend time in nature to give thanks and appreciate all it does.

Time: 20-30 minutes

What To Do: This can be in your neighborhood or on your favorite nature trail. In the early morning, take time to walk through nature. Really focus on what’s around you. The shapes of leaves, animals you see, things you may see on the ground. If safe and possible, walk barefoot and really connect with the earth below your feet. Thank nature for all it does and allowing you to work with it. If you find anything you wish to take home, ask nature and if allowed take good care of it!

There are so many things you can do in the morning to incorporate your magic. Don’t be afraid to come up with your own ways and routines! Blessed be!

Nothing sexual about this post. Reconnecting with nature is the best way to reset, de stress and drop bad habits. Wash it all away. Rent a place in the country for a weekend or a week and leave your electronics in your vehicle. Watch the sunset and sunrise, go hiking, sit by a campfire.

Life is too short to be on alert and constantly checking your phone.

We know some great spots in Texas, Arkansas, Missouri and beyond. Tell us yours.

𝐌𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 🍵

Hello beautiful humans, I wanted to share my morning and evening routine with you guys. I hope that it will inspire and motivate you! 💗 The times I wrote down are not an accurate, but more of an estimate that will differ depending on the day. My wake up and sleep time are goals for me at the moment. I want to get back into a good sleep rhythm before starting school (in less than a week).

𝐌𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞
𝐌𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞

6.35 Wake up and drink a glass of water.

6.40 Do either some calming yoga or meditate.

7.00 Make my bed.

7.10 Put on my my outfit.

7.15 Brushing my teeth, doing skincare and hair.

7.40 Journaling.

7.45 Check agenda, make to do list and planning.

7.55 Make breakfast and eat.

8.15 Go to school.

For this plan I took maximum time for everything. Because of this I will often be ready way before 8.15. During the remaining time on school days I will study, this can either be for school or for my own hobbies <3

𝔼𝕧𝕖𝕟𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕣𝕠𝕦𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕖

20.30 Clean my room.

20.40 Pack bag for tomorrow (if needed).

20.45 Pick out clothes for tomorrow.

20.55 Make a 'my day' post and journal.

21.10 Brush my teeth, do skincare and put my hair in a protective hairstyle.

21.20 (Optional) Meditate or some calming yoga.

21.40 (Optional) Read.

There is no clear time to be in bed in my evening routine. I have some very bed sleeping problems that I'm trying to get rid of by using some good routines, the goal is to get sleepy enough to go to sleep between 21.30 and 22.00. My intention is to start trying to sleep at 22.00 even if i don't feel sleepy. Since I'm still trying to get into a rhythm and don't know my ideal sleep time, my bed time may change.

back-to-school thoughts

Back-to-school Thoughts

When I was a kid, the end of the summer holidays always brought around a wave of excitement. As much as I loved the six weeks we got off, going back to school was a whole new level of excitement. Going back to school meant a new start (I think my brain still functions on a September-to-September calendar), seeing friends I hadn't seen in all summer, and the opportunity to reinvent myself.

I would spend hours upon hours watching 'DIY stationery tutorials' and 'What's in my Bag' videos to try and recreate my image in the days leading up to the beginning of the year. I'd collect all my newest pens and pencils (which I would inevitably lose before the Christmas holidays) and pack my bag and anxiously wait for 8am the next morning so I could run off to school.

I couldn't wait to see which teachers I'd have, who was in my classes, and how I'd stack up against the milestones of getting older.

Now - as an adult in university who pretty much hated her last few years of school - the last few weeks of summer are rife with stress. The simplicity of childhood excitement has been replaced with a complicated cocktail of deadlines, money stress, and the pressure to constantly perform.

Yeah, university can be fun. I love my friends, I love my freedom, and I love the satisfaction of achieving my dreams. But the joy of learning that I felt when I was younger often feels crushed beneath an avalanche of essays, group projects, and the constant mental math of wondering where this takes me.

I sometimes think about the younger version of me - who read academic journals for fun - and wonder if I'll ever recapture the carefree excitement of a new academic year.

Maybe it’s not about recreating that feeling but reimagining it. It’s not about colourful pencil cases or new backpacks anymore (although, I love me a nice, new notebook or some cute pens). It’s about finding small joys in the chaos - coffee with friends, a doughnut during exam season - and reminding myself that growth, no matter how daunting, is worth it.

So here’s to all of us still navigating education, whether you are at school or university. I hope that this year is the best it could possibly be, no matter what your best looks like.

I want to challenge myself and do like a week or a month long challenge, but I fear sometimes life may be too unpredictable, which always throws me off. I want to set a routine, i want to accomplish things, and I've been feeling so much guilt for my lack of routines, my lack of productivity, and my lack of effort in the cultivation of my own life. Does anyone have any advice or something motivating for moments like these, where you want to achieve and work towards something yet you wonder if it's at all achievable? I'm in desperate need of some motivation, tips, advice on how to go about things. I feel so thrown off recently. I want to feel like myself again.

What is your morning and night routine ?

So, I don't follow these to their exact details every single day, but these are my ideal routines that, at the very least, I try to accomplish some of these things every day. This is just what I've currently been doing, to keep this as honest as possible.

🩷 Morning Routine -

wake up, drink some water (typically about half a 16oz water bottle)

put on my sweatpants, use the bathroom, wash my hands

brush my teeth, wash my face, do my morning skincare routine (currently using Cerave Hydrating Face Wash, Vitamin C serum, a thick moisturizer, and a lightweight sunscreen, I also apply hyaluronic acid to my lips and lock it in with a layer of vaseline or aquaphor) - need to update my skincare routine on here

make my bed

plug in all my electronics to charge if I didn't do it the night before

sit at my desk, write in my guided journal

answer a journal prompt from the Daily Haloha app on my phone

I typically check my emails, social media's, etc around this time and drink a hot cup of coffee

depending on what I have to do that day, I'll get ready (what I wear depends on where I'm going - gym, only classes, work, etc)

do my hair and maybe some makeup (again, depends)

pack my bags accordingly (school stuff in backpack, work stuff in work bag, respective gym stuff in school bag - all depends on the day)

clear any dishes and unnecessary trash from my room/desk area

pop on my headphones, grab my keys, head to my destination

I did not include breakfast as i typically eat on campus, or i skip breakfast because im not hungry. Some morning i shower and then do the brsuh teeth and skincare but it depends. I will update my ideal day routine for winter break as I will not be working or going to school during that time. it'll be the perfect chance to work on myself <3

🩷 Night Routine -

(shower if i didn't shower earlier in the day)

change into sweatpants and a shirt to sleep in

brush my teeth, wash my face (double cleanse most nights, follow my routine for that night) - I use a skincare diary app to create my routines by day and I love it

complete my night guided journal

scroll my social media's for a little bit

plug in all my devices (except my watch, I wear that to track my sleep sometimes)

lay down, typically zoom call my boyfriend for a little bit

after the zoom call, I honestly watch asmr until I get super tired and then I switch off my iPad.

plug my phone in, take off my glasses, take a small drink of water, close my eyes and fall asleep.

I typically try to wake up between 4 and 6am, and I try to go to bed between 8 and 10pm, sometimes 11 if I plan to sleep in the next day. I didn't include journal prompts or reading as I do those throughout the day and don't count them as part of a set routine.

Will update soon with my ideal routine I want to follow for morning and night during my 6 week winter break! will include gym time, breakfast time, etc. I know these routines don't seem so girly and lovely, but as a stressed-out college junior, this is what I do. I try to be realistic on here, as much as I can.

til next time lovelies 🩷 and thank you for the ask!

What’s your morning routine like before work?

Hii

So I don’t have work in the morning but I go to school so I’ll do my morning school routine :)

What’s Your Morning Routine Like Before Work?

8:00 am- wake up {sometimes I sleep through my alarm}

8:20 am- get out of bed {I stay in bed because it’s cold in Australia right now:( }

8:30 am- get dressed into school uniform and do my hair {I’ve been wearing my senior hoodie and really into doing pigtails recently}

8:45 am- have breakfast and a coffee {usually toast with oat milk in my coffee}

9:00 am- put socks and shoes on {I wear my Ugg boots for most of my routine}, then my favourite perfume and jewellery {I really like Midnight Fantasy by Brittney Spears :) }

9:05 am–9:30 am- I usually talk to my mum about my day

9:45 am- walk to school :)

Smudged Mirrors

|| Tl;dr Morning routine softness with Secondo. :) This is just an older work from my ao3 that I thought I would bring over here!

There are many terrible things in this world. The shrill blare of an alarm clock ripping you from your dreams among the worst offenders. Waking to find that the bed has already gone empty and cold, another. The entire room felt quiet and solemn as if it too was mourning the absence of your beloved. The thick blankets quickly grew too cold to be comfortable any longer and remnants of sleep still clung to your senses as you slowly sat up with a renewed dedication to seek out a new source of warmth.

The scent of spiced soap and a lingering mist from the shower wafted through the partially open bathroom door, a testament to Secondo’s stubborn refusal to sleep in on nearly any day. It was a gentle reminder of the countless mornings when you had woken up together, the sound of falling water mingling with laughter and shared tenderness.

After attempting to gather your thoughts, you swung your legs over the side of the bed and made your way towards the bathroom, the rhythmic sound of falling water growing louder with each step. The antique wooden wardrobe looked untouched as you passed by it. You paused to pull out Secondo’s Papal robes and the cassock he often preferred to wear underneath before folding them neatly on the bed and continuing on. Upon pushing the door open, you were met with the sight of steam billowing around the room, cloaking the space in a misty haze.

“I may be aging but I’m not deaf yet. I can still hear your attempts to sneak up on me, amore mio.” Even with his back turned towards you, you could hear the smirk in his voice despite his stern tone. Water droplets still dribbled over his skin as he moved while the steam swirled around him, seemingly dancing in tune with a silent melody.

“I would’ve thought all those concerts would’ve done you in.”

Secondo paid no mind to your witty comment, instead continuing on as if he hadn’t been interrupted at all.

“Were you sleeping well? You didn’t budge when I got up.”

“I was. That is until I was left alone in the arctic cold of silk sheets.” Your retort came with maybe a little more sass than necessary as you lifted yourself to sit on the counter.

Secondo hummed softly, the deep rumble building in his chest as he leaned over to thread his fingers through your messy bed head.

“Hmmm. I suspect you’ll survive, you appear plenty lively to me.” His words were muffled against your hair as he pressed a kiss on the top of your head. For once you decided to remain quiet when you felt him smile against you.

After a few silent minutes, Secondo pulled away to return to his routine and you quickly grew bored. You twisted around, leaning in closer to the water covered mirror and reached a hand out to draw a shape against its reflective surface. Only after you had placed your initials next to a small heart were you interrupted.

“Those stay there, you know. Smudges, after the fog is gone.” He grumbled softly before swiping a razor against his cheek once more. His eyes only flickered to you before refocusing on the task of shaving. The dedication to precision and attention to detail were always present, even in the simplest of moments. A roll of your eyes was the only reaction you gave in to. Secondo had always been much more of a perfectionist, although it was admittedly respectable.

Pulling back from the mirror, you gracefully slipped off your perch on the counter and moved closer to him, pressing a kiss against each freshly shaven cheek. The morning routine had become a dance between the two of you, a choreography of sweet gestures and affectionate exchanges.

“Are you absolutely sure you need to go to work? And so early?” It was the same familiar question you asked him at least once a week, and that tiny sliver of hope in your voice that the ever so serious older man would take off work remained every time.

“Si, I am entirely sure. Has my answer ever changed?” Secondo’s unfaltering response only prompts you to lean back against his shoulder and clasp your hands to your chest, feigning being fatally wounded. There is a sigh at your dramatics, a kiss pressed against your temple before being waved off once more.

“You have your own work to attend to, piantagrane. Go.” You finally accepted being shooed off after a few more lingering kisses, good byes murmured softly in each other's ears before leaving the former Papa be to finish getting ready for the day yourself.

By the time you had returned to the bathroom with the intention of using up all the remaining hot water for yourself, Secondo was gone from the room. As to be expected, but still disappointing. While setting your own towels down atop the granite counter, you couldn’t help but to glance back at the small smears you had earlier left along the surface of the mirror. Papa was right, the fog had dissipated and left behind streaks of smudging. Except now it was impossible to ignore the small, cursive initials ‘S.E’ that had appeared opposite of your own.
