yo! this isn’t an ask or anything, just an appreciation to your lovely art and fanfic. i LOVE it so far, and cannot wait for the last chapter. I was up till like 3 finishing reading it cus i was so invested, and you’re so good that i can just imagine this happening without even trying. I'm so glad to hear that you like my story! I will tell you that a TON of hard work goes into my writing. As anyone who has been reading "Nine Steps" from the beginning can tell you, I am a slow writer and I have to work at it all the time. Anyway, I truly appreciate that someone likes the hard work I've done writing this thing!

I am happy to report that I will be posting the last chapter of "Nine Steps" this week on May 14th in my timezone which might be May 15th depending on where you are in the world. I hope you like the ending.

Then I will be bracing myself for MI:8 like the rest of us Benthan fans!

I feel like the only good ending to the mission impossible series is Ethan dying. Fight me on this but it’s the only way the movies can actually come to an end

You say jump, Ethan Hunt doesn't even say "How high?" he simply jumps off a cliff and does a sick backflip.

Sometimes - it’s easy to forgot - Benji can be a badass.

I mean - this….

And fooling the CIA in Rogue Nation and infiltrating the secure site and sitting there with a bomb on him so still, still backing up Ethan

And picking up the machine gun and fighting the bad guys at the beginning of Fallout…

And fooling Walker not only as ‘scared for his life, only the tech guy Benji’ but as Lane.

And giving Lane a good fight for his life…

And running to defuse the bomb without a moments hesitation without asking or telling Ethan about it…

And running out into the night to try to find Ethan despite knowing the entity probably has him as a target…

And shouting at Ethan Hunt.

I mean, he is adorable Benji and devoted Benji and good Benji but he is also bad ass Benji fucking Dunn.

And it looks like we’ll get to see that a bit more in MI8

The second I saw him standing on that ledge in all that amazing lighting, I knew I had to draw it.

Tom Cruise, what a legend. Like, who else would be able to pull off a stunt like this at the Olympics? That man knows how to work the camera, that's for sure.

My goal was to use my chunky ink brush, keep it very loose, and of course use this as an excuse to paint super-saturated over the top colors because I'm a color gremlin.

This movie had a big influence on little Li who was far too young to watch it when she did! (Still remember giggling with my best friend while hiding behind the big couch in my best friend's living room as her older brother and his friends watched the movie which they rented from Blockbuster.)

Nobody ever commissions me to draw actor portraits so I did one for myself! (I am still taking commissions, however I am away right now but will resume drawing after November 5th. Feel free to message me to reserve your spot in line!)
