oh you want to talk about symbols and soulmateism? without guillermo del toro? I'll have you know that Dr. Hermann PacificRim was raised without love or understanding and was trained since childhood to make weapons. he saw 300ft world ending monsters and designed equally destructive robots capable of killing them!! he made brilliant death machines while calling himself impossible to love because of it!! and then this guy, who is basically the mathematician equivalent of a Child Soldier, comes face to face with his lab partner.... and its the single (1) freak in the entire world who looks directly at the alien monsters everyone has been trying to destroy and is just like...….Well i think they’re incredible. i'll dedicate my life to loving and understanding them, instead. ROMANCE AS OF YET UNMATCHED.
