Imagine loki gets bored of learning everything to do with engineering and physics to help fix the loom but instead he spends long periods of time time-slipping back to the train scene before sylvie falls asleep and he just keeps talking to her for hours and doesnt let her fall asleep so he can have more time with her. More unhurried, not rushed, and not running from the end of a world, time with her.
And then when time runs out and sylvie notices the man looking at them weirdly he slips right back to after he shows her the fireworks. And repeat
...
After a while, he starts going back to the blanket scene in the void. And every time, he magics that blanket around her a bit earlier than the first time. He also spends a few rotations changing her outfit to see what she likes best on first reaction. He thinks she smiles most brilliantly when he changes her into a warmer, more comfortable version of what she wears but with a looser neck that is more like a cowl style made of green and gold.
Watching this scene for the first time, a very unusual thing happened: I started thinked like I was talking to Loki. I mean, directly to Loki.
I thought "Come on, Loki, you can do this. You can do everything. I'm here for you. I'm with you". As if to give him support as I could, me, a simple spectator.
I formed such a strong bond with the character of Loki – like many other fans – that, in that moment, the culmination of his years-long narrative arc, every barrier, every screen disappeared: it was just me and him at the end of time.
I was there for him, as he has been for me since I saw Thor.
What a wonderful and heartbreaking ending. What a wonderful, powerful character.
Looking for a fanfic I cant seem to find to read again.
It was Cara Dune x Din Djarin. Cara had been frozen in carbonite and had gone blind. Din had taken her to some villa or spa where the owner owed him a favour. And they stayed there for the duration of her illness.
Does anyone know this fanfiction?
