In a dark world overrun by monsters from the shadow plane, you exist as a hybrid monster hunter called a helvling, a human whose very soul has been Bound to one such entity. Travelling from warded settlement to warded settlement with your surly human Keeper, Shea, you have the thankless task of defending the common folk against these unimaginable horrors from Hel.
Usually, a fate such as yours is only reserved for the lowest of criminals, as penance for their loathsome deeds… You wouldn’t know if your fate has been deserved, however, since upon completion of your Binding seven years ago, all former memories of your human life have been lost.
You’ve been moulded into a weapon by the Virtuous Order, trained to be an unfeeling and ruthlessly efficient hunter… But is that who you truly are?
Who are you?

“you know i get it-”
If you want Keir and Cirrus' second chapters, they're now available on Steam and Itch.io. We hope you enjoy Chapter Two: The Depths as much as we enjoyed making it!
Francesco and Oleander are already in production now, and we are excited to get into the weeds with them (they're so much fun!!).
If you want to make streaming or VOD content of the game, here's the rules we ask you to follow. A post with all the warnings in chapter two will go up soon, in case you want to check for certain triggering content before you buy (Cirrus is still doing Cirrus stuff and Keir's life is still full of lies and violence).
Thank you so much for waiting for this, we're so happy to have you on this little adventure we've been on!
(Oh, and for the Tumblr-folks, we'll be tagging anything specifically about Chapter Two with "#obscura spoilers" and we'll resist posting specifically about it for a little while.)
“The writer's job is to get the main character up a tree, and then once they are up there, throw rocks at them.” — Vladimir Nabokov
